This war in Ukraine is an uncommon conflict: almost the entire world disagrees with it. Countries supporting Russia have radical dictatorships and are quite small in military strength.

Technologists and programmers from all over the world are joining forces and showing courage to defend the Ukrainian people as they can.

Fighting the Fake News

In 2005, the Russian government created Russia Today (now RT), a state-controlled international television network funded by the tax budget of the Russian government. During the next years, RT became the perfect propaganda machine for western audiences.

In February, Anonymous declared war on Russia, and they started by taking down some government websites, including the one of Russia Today.
